This was really a long time ago, and I’m a 1995-born person, but I had it done during winter break of 9th grade, so I’ll write about it.. There was only one teacher there at the time, and I remember the hospital being really small.. maybe on the 2nd floor. But even then, there were a ton of surgical patients and people coming in for consultations, and it was hard to book an appointment. My parents let me get the surgery because they saw me sleeping with double eyelid tape on lol. The one thing I still remember from the consultation is that when I said I had eyes that couldn’t do a lateral canthoplasty and I wanted them lifted, they said I’d have to cut the forehead to lift them. They used something like a stainless rod to shape the eyes and just proceeded with that shape. I remember having the surgery during the last slot and taking a taxi home. Because it was done under local anesthesia, they checked the line midway through the surgery and continued. I remember crying because the anesthesia hurt, and because fat removal was done, there was the smell of frying squid. At the end, the anesthesia wore off, but they said it would be finished if they just stitched two or three more stitches, so I endured it. The shape turned out naturally and well. The big swelling lasted about a month, and the minor swelling went down slowly over about a year. Back then I thought it had all gone down, but looking at photos now, the line is still puffy. The disappointing part is that because it’s an inline, it’s so natural; I wish I had made it an out line. But then again, looking at old photos, I really did turn into a dragon, so I steady myself and think I should be satisfied with this.. At that time my mom researched a lot of places and said this was the best, so she took me there. The doctor looked like he was in his grandfather’s age range, but I don’t know if he’s still there.. The people at the front desk and the nurses didn’t feel very kind to me.
