- I went for a consultation in mid-2019, and overall it was fine. It was around a quiet Thursday evening, so I don't know if that helped. The director came out personally to see me and accurately said that my eyes were asymmetrical and that I would likely need eye correction on one side. They also gave me a relatively generous amount of time and seemed to listen well to what I had to say. They did say it would be better to do both sides and that doing only one side would affect the other, but... another hospital or two also said the same thing, so I don't know whether that's true. They mentioned a few times that they had been doing eye surgeries for a long time, but what I saw on their YouTube seemed about the same as what they actually said. Maybe because it was an older clinic, the place was a bit run-down compared with the others I had been to, and the staff were neither especially kind nor unkind, which made it comfortable.
