I was trying to consult about Noble Cat, but because my front cheekbone was relatively lower, they told me to do the nose as well. I was recommended a large implant that would cover from the front cheekbone all the way to the philtrum for 880. At first I knew nothing and was only planning to book Noble Cat. And from the result photos of the doctor here, I thought the nose looked aesthetically bad, so I planned to do the nose somewhere else. When I told the coordinator at another clinic about my Noble Cat surgery plan while going for a nose consultation, she stopped me and said that a huge implant like that was crazy, and that for paranasal augmentation you should just put in a small one and keep it simple. I only later learned that with all implants, because of bone erosion, inflammation, and foreign-body sensation, you should keep them as small as possible. Even doing Noble Cat alone already uses a larger implant than ordinary paranasal augmentation, so there’s the concern of touching the upper gum area near the philtrum and upper teeth and causing bone erosion. If I had put in the whole front cheekbone area, how much higher would the risk of foreign-body sensation, erosion, and inflammation have been.. I almost got tempted by the objectively convincing numbers in the YouTube CT videos because I knew so little about plastic surgery. Also, I saw a post saying that at this clinic, if you put down a 1 million won reservation deposit, it is non-refundable, so make sure to ask whether the deposit is refundable before paying! In the end I had paranasal augmentation done with Gore-Tex, since I was worried about silicone implant movement. But Gore has a higher inflammation rate than silicone. Right now it feels like I have a time bomb next to my nose that could burst at any moment. Of course it’s probably just a probability thing, but it’s scary for no reason ㅠㅠ If I have to remove it later because of inflammation, I’d probably switch to silicone. Of course silicone has the risk of shifting. But I heard there are also surgical techniques that keep silicone implants from moving out of place. Look into it well!!
