Doctor kindness / consultation expertise: First of all, the doctor is very chic and quiet, but what's interesting is that he answers questions and things like that very thoroughly. I'm used to that kind of chic vibe(?) so I was fine with it, but for people who shrink back or feel uncomfortable in front of that kind of person, it could feel unfriendly?? What stood out to me more than that was the certainty and expertise in how he answered questions. Staff kindness: I gave this 4, but maybe around 3.7..? The consultation manager at least tries to seem the kindest, and honestly the other staff weren't that polite.. If it hadn't been for the consultation manager, I'd have given 2. For the consultation manager's part, they were kind during the consultation before surgery and when I asked questions through messages. (They were kind except on the day of surgery.) Honestly, all the staff were unfriendly on the day of surgery lol but I only care whether they do a good job on my eyes, so I didn't mind that much. Hospital facilities: They moved and it's better now. I went to the old hospital for consultation and had the surgery at the new one, so I saw both, and the interior is upscale and overall clean. Surgery expectations: I gave this 5, but honestly I don't really know yet since I had surgery yesterday. To explain the process: 1) Change clothes 2) Brief talk with the consultation manager 3) Brief talk with the doctor in the consultation room 4) Enter the operating room and get an IV needle inserted (preparing for anesthesia) 5) Doctor comes in and designs for about 15 minutes?? 6) As soon as the design ends, the staff come in and anesthesia suddenly starts (I just blacked out immediately) 7) Wake up and surgery is over What I liked was that the doctor really spent at least 15 minutes just on the design time.. It honestly took so long that I was shocked. He checked maybe four times while I was lying down and sitting up, and kept drawing on top of my eyes to confirm. I had only gone to 5-6 places for consultations in the first place, and the reason I chose here was that kind of meticulousness. Even though I was only doing incisional surgery, I liked that they designed it so carefully. Side note: I don't know if this is good or bad, but after finishing the right eye and moving on to the left eye, I thought it was finally over, but they had me open my eyes to check, said the right eye was too high, and undid everything and started over. Then after checking both sides again, they said the left eye's end part had come loose, so they undid it again and re-stitched it... lolㅎㅎㅋㅋㅎ So in the end it was basically like I had surgery twice.. I was so scared trying to hold out, but I endured it thinking they were being meticulous..! In the end, I think the line came out well matched and symmetrical. What I didn't like was: 1) The staff kindness I mentioned earlier (but from my perspective this is really okay) 2) I have a fear of injections.. As I mentioned in the process above, they put a shot in my arm before the design, but one nurse stuck the right arm and said a vein burst, then just jabbed again right next to it, and that vein burst too, so in the end another staff member (an older one) did it in the other arm.. In the end, I got injections in my arm 3-4 times because of my phobia.. Looking at it now, the area where the vein burst on the right has a huge bruise... because of that I was sweating all over and before surgery the fear was intense.. 3) After the surgery, the recovery room was like a chair area, and they just put me in that room and left without any explanation.. My mom came and checked on me, but if I hadn't asked the staff, I would probably have just sat there half-blind wondering how long I was supposed to stay there and what I was supposed to do lol. But well.. as long as the surgery went well..ㅎㅎ
