I had a tension permanent-thread nose procedure last year and am now looking into removal. I can feel the thread on the bridge of my nose, and the ends are even visible protruding to the eye, so although it hasn't actually protruded yet, I'm looking into removal because I'm uneasy. If anyone is thinking of getting it done, I hope you choose carefully. When I had the procedure, I chose it because I didn't need an incision, but the cost is almost the same as nose surgery. Removal has to be done through an incision.
