My surgical experience was a long time ago, so the doctor’s current skill may have improved, but I’m leaving this as a personal review for reference. First of all, the doctor consulted with me very kindly, and answered well whenever I asked something I was curious about. (I think the consultation manager may have changed, but that person was kind, though they overdid it by recommending things like a nose job I didn’t want, so I didn’t like that.) Unlike other places, they did recommend buried sutures, and at the time they proceeded with them for me when I wanted buried sutures. They pursued a natural line that suited each patient’s eye shape, and in fact my eyes were set into a natural line that matched my original eye shape. I think that may still be their style now as well. They also said that if the front corner were opened too much, it would look unnatural on my face, so they only opened it a little and made it a slightly hook-like shape, and opened it that way. However, right after the surgery the height of the double eyelid line was uneven, and because the line was so natural, it felt like it would become a very hidden double eyelid within two years. When I asked about the asymmetry at the time, they said it couldn’t be judged until all the swelling went down and that there would be no problem. In conclusion, around two years after the double eyelid surgery, the front part of the double eyelid line folded inward, so it became a typical hidden-double-eyelid look, and even though the front corner was opened, it looked as if there was still an epicanthic fold; the double eyelid line height was indeed uneven; and it gave a sleepy-eye appearance (other places recommended eye correction, but here they didn’t specifically mention it, so maybe that’s because I only did buried sutures?) After the double eyelid surgery, I didn’t want to keep opening my eyes with my forehead, but in the end even now I have to lift my eyes with my forehead for the double eyelid line to show. To summarize the advantages: - The doctor is genuinely kind (to the point it makes you feel good) - They don’t ask for anything excessive - They try to reflect the patient’s needs - They truly pursue naturalness - The price seems reasonable (the price I wrote down is fuzzy in my memory, so it may not be completely accurate) However, if you want to be guaranteed the result you want: - Be clear in the first consultation about exactly what style of eye you want (If you only say you want it natural, it will just end up as your own eye shape as-is. I vaguely said I wanted a natural eye like Suzy’s, so I wasn’t specific enough) - Be sure to emphasize the desired points right before surgery as well - If there are still parts you don’t like even after some swelling has gone down, request aftercare service At the time, a friend came here after getting buried sutures and her front corner turned out round and neat, so I came here too, but that was just because my friend’s eyes were naturally round so the result turned out that way.
