I had a consultation at the last time slot at 6 p.m. yesterday evening. Kim Hansung gave off more of the feeling of a small rural clinic than the image people usually think of when they hear plastic surgery. Because of that, it had a warm and somewhat comfortable atmosphere. Maybe because it was the last time slot, the doctor greeted me kindly and brightly, which made me feel good. The consultation went in the order of doctor first, then the manager. After asking about the purpose of surgery and the direction of the changes I wanted, they gave a realistic diagnosis (haha..). So they clearly tended to suggest more conservative surgical methods. Because of that, I don't think it's suitable for people who want dramatic changes or want to have several procedures done a bit boldly. But I was extremely!!! satisfied with the doctor's consultation. Personally, I wanted a glamorous line, but that was only my own greed. Realistically, I knew very well that the best choice for me, considering my eye shape, was to make it as thin and natural as possibleㅠㅠㅎ On top of that, because of my family history and eye pressure issues, I was in a condition where it was hard to do all kinds of procedures~ I was also scared of taking a bold approach and having several surgeriesㅠㅠ The problem was that it was hard to accept that emotionally, but here, the doctor took the lead in bringing up those points first and helped me judge the situation realistically, which I appreciated. They recommended three options for me: incision, incision + eye correction (best), and non-incisional eye correction. Most clinics recommended incision, so I had already somewhat made up my mind that I should do incision, but since this was my first surgery, I wanted non-incisional if possible, so I asked whether non-incisional was difficult or just not recommended. They explained my eyeball structure, whether my eyelids were thick or thin, and the relationship between my brows and eyes in an easy-to-understand way, and said incision would be better. That made it easy for me to understand and accept the surgical methods they suggested. I also asked about the front corner and outer corner canthoplasty areas, and they checked things like the distance between the eyebrows and the space for widening with a ruler, saying not doing them would be better in terms of cost and would not have a dramatic effect, so they did not recommend them~ I was especially wavering because many places recommend doing a little front canthoplasty, but here they said, pointing out that both inner corners of my eyes already match the width of the nostrils perfectly, and that confirmed it for me haha. So I gave up on it haha. I was especially very afraid of eye correction. The doctor recommended doing it together because I have asymmetrical eyes and a lot of eyelid covering, but when I said I was scared of side effects or problems with my eyes, they said that in that case I could get checked for eye pressure, disease, dry eye, and other related conditions first before deciding, or that incision alone would be enough to make my eyes clearer, so just doing incision would be fine. And including the consultation manager, this was the only place that explained realistic side effects related to eye correction. They said side effects such as headaches, inability to fully close the eyes, dizziness, and dry eyes could occur. They also told me that once you do eye correction, even if you release it later, it is hard to go back to the original eye shape, so I should decide carefully. That made my trust level go way up! At that point, I clearly felt this place had a strong safety-oriented and conservative tendency~ They answered every question thoroughly and waited comfortably so I could ask anything, so my satisfaction with the consultation was very high. The consultation with the manager was also good~ They didn't have the polished, glamorous look of some other places. They looked natural, and because they were a bit older, it felt like talking to a close auntie. So I could comfortably talk through all kinds of surgery-related worries and even chat a bit about random things~ Rather than pushing me with 'You should do it like this!', they tended to help me decide by thinking through my concerns together. Especially since I have to have surgery because of work and then go straight to work the next day, I was worried, and they talked about that realistically tooㅋㅋ They said the stitches and incision marks would still be there so it would be hard, but was I okay with that, and whether I was okay with bruising turning yellow after a few days and being visible. They also said that if I look at a computer a lot while working, dry eye could become a problem... To exaggerate a little, they were so detailed it felt like they cared about my eyes even more than I did~ So I was satisfied with the manager’s consultation too. Of course, there was no pressure to book on the same day, but there were also no discounts. They said incision would be 130 + 10% VAT / incision + eye correction would be 150 + 10% VAT, but after checking the consultations and estimates I got elsewhere, it seemed like this place charges exactly that price no matter what. There may be small differences depending on canthoplasty or fat removal... but incision / incision + eye correction seem fixed. Anyway, in conclusion, I would not recommend it for people who want a glamorous line or dramatic changes to their image. I would recommend it to people who want surgery but are worried that doing too many extra things might cause problems, or to people who want a natural-looking line and want to consult here~ Also, the aftercare was the best, and they clearly explained what happens on each visit day, which made them trustworthy. (Aftercare involves visits on days 1/3/5, and day 1 and day 5 are mandatory. On day 3, if the swelling is severe, they said additional treatment such as swelling injections would be given. After that, they said they would check at 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months, and in between they would also give injections if swelling or scars were severe.) I still plan to visit two more places, so I haven't booked yet, but so far this is my favorite! I felt that this person could definitely minimize the side effects and other things I’m worried about. But if I think about aesthetics too, it probably won't make my face look as pretty as I hope~ or make my eyes look sharply open and clear~ things like that probably won't happen. (So for now I'm definitely leaning here... but honestly, if I only look at the final result, I like other places more.) So my expectations for the surgery are on the low side.
