I had been worrying about the sturdiness of my calves my whole life and finally went for it. The doctor speaks in a cool, blunt way, but if you look at how attentive and caring he is after surgery, he’s secretly warm and nice. It’s one week after surgery, so of course my toes are numb and walking is still pretty uncomfortable, but compared to how worried I was, the manager just said it was normal and common, which was a bit unkind. Still, it feels like the bulk is gradually going away, and I’m very excited.
