As I got into my 40s, my eyelids kept feeling like they were sagging, so I started thinking I should do something about my eyes. I searched for clinics and narrowed it down to a few hospitals that saw both middle-aged patients and younger people, including one that offered eye plastic surgery for middle-aged patients. When I arrived at the hospital, parking was a bit difficult, and the staff member who guided me was a little clumsy, so at first I felt kind of bad. But as soon as I got there, I had a consultation with the director without much waiting. They evaluated my eyes in detail and gave three examples of what kinds of surgery could be done, then told me which one they thought would be the best for me. Other places did consultations without taking off the mask, but this was the only place where they asked me to take mine off and talked about whether my facial asymmetry matched well with my eyes, and so on. I found through cafes that they often mention facial asymmetry during consultations. They also told me to check whether I had dry eye syndrome, and when I mentioned being worried about uneven eyes or scars, they said it was nothing serious to worry about, and that they had even done eye-related surgeries for their own wife as she got older and things turned out fine. My husband came with me, and after the consultation he said this hospital's explanation was the best, so I was leaning toward it too, but I'm still unable to decide because I'm worried about complications from plastic surgery.
