I had the procedure 3 years ago, and in the end I was satisfied. But if you have a lot of subcutaneous fat, or if you plan to work out for the rest of your life, I’d recommend it. For skinny-fat people like me with visceral fat, you need line refinement and lifelong management. Otherwise, it will come back in the end. Long post warning~~ I had already done arm liposuction, and because of that, other areas started to stand out too. I think many people end up thinking about liposuction in other areas this way. I didn’t have time, and when I was looking into arm lipo, I was scared by the side effects I saw, so I didn’t even think about surgery. I got a consultation for extraction injections, and I liked that the director looked at my InBody results and my body directly, and that since it wasn’t sedation anesthesia, I could confirm that the fat was actually being removed, so I made a same-day reservation. The manager was kind too, and they gave me 3 body Botox sessions for writing one review photo, but I didn’t get them. The procedure under local anesthesia... was manageable. After it was over, even now I think it was bearable The pain does get dull as they keep extracting, but the sound and the sensation of the fat being removed, especially when passing the belly button area, are still horrifying when I think about them. Because they don’t put you to sleep and then extract, but instead inject an anesthetic solution, the beginning, when the solution is going in, was really, really hard. The good thing was that the director kept telling me I was almost done and doing well. The bottles were bigger than I expected, and the director removed a lot, so the line was refined nicely. I had thought it would be 8 bottles, but they took 11... They removed not only the center abdomen but also considered the upper abdomen and waist line. Looking at it now, I think that was the upper-pulmonary-groove? line. It didn’t affect daily life. I was fine starting the next day, went back to work right after resting for two weekend days, and after 2-3 weeks there wasn’t any stiffness left. Then a month later, when I went on a summer vacation, the bikini photos I took seemed like the first bikini photos I had ever taken without editing. I especially loved the back line. I had very low expectations, so compared with what I expected, the effect was even better. But after about a year, I started noticing fat that hadn’t fully come off in my lower belly. Even then I thought about going back to the clinic, but I had also been careless with management, and it wasn’t serious enough to really bother me, so it was fine. Every summer vacation after that, I kept hearing that my body looked good. However, if you’re sensitive... you’ll keep worrying about it. The upper belly is visible enough to show the ribs, but the lower belly is slightly protruding. Still, I just looked like an ordinary thin person, so I was fine. Scar appearance varies by person... the scars are on the pubic area and the navel. The navel isn’t visible, so that’s fine, but the two holes in the pubic area are still visible even after 2 years, and only start to fade after about 3 years. They don’t disappear completely. I already had arm lipo too, and I’m not the type to worry much about scars, so I never really thought about it, but people who care a lot about scars should be more careful. However, as I said earlier, I was a typical skinny-fat person with a lot of visceral fat. You absolutely need to know this before getting the procedure. Visceral fat is not affected. If you want line refinement and don’t want it to come back, you have to manage your diet for life. Especially people with visceral fat like me! I’ve been exercising consistently and managing it since before the procedure, but there are times in life when you can’t do that, right? The moment you get lax even a little, it comes right back. Over 3 years it gradually came back, and now I just have an average person’s belly. Still, I don’t regret it because compared with liposuction that would cost around a million won, it was less than one-fifth of that price, and I got neat line refinement to a degree I was happy with. Even if my belly comes back, the waist line and upper abdomen still have a pretty shape. I’m grateful to the director for that. I still remember how carefully they removed it. So the front line looks nice, but from the side it bulges out... So from now on I’m going to exercise moderately and manage my diet for life, for my health too.
