There wasn’t much of a wait, and I had about a 20-minute consultation with the head doctor. He was cheerful and gave a good consultation. But this was the only place that told me my nasal septum was short. So there wasn’t much septal cartilage to use, and they said we should just use autologous costal cartilage right away. He said not to shave down the nasal hump and instead fill just a little silicone above it, use autologous costal cartilage for the lower bridge, and use autologous costal cartilage for the tip as well. (He seemed to prefer autologous costal cartilage + general anesthesia.) He said non-implant surgery was also possible, but since my chin is receded, my eyes are protruding, and the area between my eyebrows is relatively sunken, if only the tip were done my nose would look too sharply upturned, so he recommended adding silicone. He said that if done under general anesthesia, the surgery would take around 1.5 hours, and that since it is a somewhat large hospital, three anesthesiologists are on site. The director wasn’t rude, but there was a lot of pressure around the reservation deposit, and he seemed very proud of the doctor’s career. Also, since I went there for my first nose consultation, they kept saying I had come to the right place and shouldn’t go consult anywhere else, and when I said where else I was planning to consult, they said that place wasn’t very good and that I would end up coming back to their hospital for revision surgery anyway, so I should just feel at ease and do it here. They were pushing a bit too hard, so I just left without paying a deposit because I didn’t like being pressured.
