Ah, I didn’t know the director had gone somewhere else. During the consultation with the chief coordinator, she kept saying that it would look prettier if I made it bigger than the size I wanted (at the time I wanted it a bit thinner, but everyone kept saying bigger looks prettier), so I kept hesitating, but I decided to trust them and made it a bit bigger. They did a partial incision, a slight epicanthoplasty, and also removed a bit of eye fat to show me. I was really nervous because it was my first surgery under local anesthesia, but the director kept talking to me and calming me down. Right after the surgery, the swelling was really minimal, so everyone said it went amazingly well, but in fact it took quite a while for that barely swollen look to settle down.. Even when I went for aftercare like laser treatment, I couldn’t put much strength into my eyes, so the nurses’ reactions were a bit off and I got really worried, but they say eyelid-surgery swelling keeps going down for 1 to 2 years, and even up to the 1-year mark I was still a bit puffy. Now there’s no swelling at all, it looks so natural and not noticeable, and unless I say something first, people really can’t tell. Back then, deciding to make it bigger was the right choice, and now if I cry a lot and sleep the night before, that’s about the only time I get noticeably puffy the next day.
