The doctor is a facial contouring specialist, so he tends to look down on dermatologic, noninvasive treatment approaches. He seems to have a 'let's eradicate every foreign substance' attitude. After looking at the ultrasound, he even recommended removing everything, including areas the patient did not want removed. Even though the area already looked fine and had no discomfort or complaints, he told me, a woman in my late 20s, to cut into the lower eyelid and remove it all. I asked, 'It won't be 100% scar-free, right?' and he said he couldn't guarantee that.. No matter how much it is foreign-body removal, don't let yourself be pushed into it just because the doctor says it should be done. I think the patient has to judge carefully for themselves.
