There wasn't a separate consultation; they just gave me instructions, put protective glasses over my eyes, and immediately went zzzzt zzzzt with the laser. I had the philtrum, arms, and underarms done, and for a very hairy person, doing fewer than 6 sessions has no effect. If you do 9 or more sessions, you can see the hair density going down! But it still didn't disappear!
