This was my first rhinoplasty consultation. I have a bulbous, crooked, and hump nose. The director examined my nose and recommended preserving the hump rather than automatically shaving it down to make the nose straight. For the bulbous nose, they suggested removing fat and gathering the cartilage; for the long nose, they suggested repositioning the cartilage. They also recommended alar reduction. Overall, the director seemed to prefer natural-looking noses. During the consultation, they explained that these days some people intentionally preserve the hump to create a natural appearance, and for my nose they focused on realistic improvements rather than making it look too artificial. The consultation felt quite realistic, which I liked. The price was definitely cheaper compared with other places. Some of the other clinics I consulted were two to three times more expensive, so I felt the price was a clear advantage. I don't think you necessarily have to choose an expensive place, so the cost seemed quite reasonable. However, since this was my first rhinoplasty, I wanted a somewhat more glamorous and definite change rather than a natural nose. The director's recommendation wasn't bad, but it differed slightly from the style I wanted. So I decided to pass for now. If you want a natural, understated nose or don't necessarily want to remove the entire hump, it might be worth having a consultation. The price was especially attractive compared with other places.
