Recently, I had natural-adhesion double-eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, micro medial canthoplasty, and lower outer canthoplasty together. I originally wanted my eyes to look clearer by refining only the parts that looked stuffy, without changing them dramatically. During the consultation, I explained the look I wanted in considerable detail, and the surgeon directly examined my eye shape and asymmetry while explaining everything step by step. I liked that it did not feel like they were simply following a fixed design; instead, they seemed to design it according to each patient's wishes and requests. I especially liked that they do not always create a glamorous look. I felt uncomfortable with thick double eyelids and eyes becoming dramatically larger, and they kept checking those points during the consultation. They did not recommend enlarging areas that did not really need it, which made me trust them more. For the medial canthoplasty, they explained the appropriate amount by looking at the shape of my inner corners and epicanthal folds, rather than simply opening them as much as possible. They also said the lower outer canthoplasty was not done by blindly lengthening only the outer corners. It felt like they decided after considering my overall eye shape and proportions together. During the consultation, I also asked about releasing before-and-after photos. I was told that photos are released only for patients who consent to showing their entire face. It was something I was curious about, so I was glad to receive a direct answer during the consultation. The final design was not immediately carried out based only on what had been decided during the consultation. On the day of surgery, they checked my eye condition once more, finalized the details of the design, and then proceeded with surgery. I felt that they checked my desired direction until the very end, which increased my trust haha. Rather than making my eyes glamorous from the start, they adjusted only what was needed for my eyes, so I think it suited me well because I wanted natural-looking eyes haha.
