I went for a consultation about double-eyelid revision! We decided to release the existing adhesions in both eyes, lower the incisional lines, perform incisional ptosis correction, and reposition the fat. The key was correcting the asymmetry: the line needs to be lowered a little on the left and much more on the right. They said removing the double line was also one option when lowering the line. They explained that if I was concerned about scarring, I could have the double line removed first and cut it out later, or have it refined by excision during the surgery, which would be much cleaner. Since I was having surgery anyway, I finally chose excision because it seemed more likely to produce a cleaner result! They honestly compared the options from the patient's perspective and marked the lines delicately, which made me trust them a lot. I am glad I put in the effort to research and visit.
