When I decided to get double eyelid surgery, I had set a few standards. 1. Is it close to home (There wasn't really anyone who could pick me up or come with me, so I needed to be able to dash home by myself.) 2. Does it have many and varied cases, regardless of whether the reviews are good or bad (Plastic surgery is basically a matter of luck anyway, and honestly, since we're all human, it can't be successful every single time.. If there are many and varied cases, I thought my own chances might be even a little higher.) 3. Does it avoid overtreatment (I went to another place before, and when I said I only wanted my eyes done, they kept saying I should do my nose too and kept pushing reservations even though I didn't want that. I wanted a place that would only explain what I needed.) 4. Is it a private clinic (Mass-production-style places seem okay for procedures only.. For surgery, I was scared it would come out too identical. That's just my personal opinion.) 5. Is there CCTV in the operating room (I happened to watch a movie with substitute surgery in it, got anxious, and looked up a ton of related articles, and apparently there are quite a few hospitals like that.) They explained things in detail and listened well, so I was leaning a lot more toward them. But even with all these conditions met, it's just too expensive... It was literally about twice the quote of other nearby plastic surgery clinics. It isn't for medical purposes, so insurance doesn't apply, and I didn't think it was worth paying that much.
