This is a follow-up consultation review for Trend Plastic Surgery. My nose doesn't look very crooked, just slightly crooked, but still, when you're spending a lot of money anyway, isn't it natural to want to correct it? It's money I earned by working myself to the bone. The left side is a little crooked, so when I said I hoped the crooked nose could be made symmetrical, they said the corner of the mouth is tilted to the left and that it would be difficult because of facial asymmetry. Then they showed me cases of crooked nose correction, and when I said, "This person's result turned out well," they replied, "That's a case that turned out extremely well," word for word. They subtly start talking down to you. It's not like they've ever helped my life, they're not my boss, and we're not even close, so I don't understand why they're so casually speaking informally to a customer. Anyway, when I asked, "So how much correction could I expect?" they suddenly asked what I had eaten for breakfast that morning. When I said I had bone hangover soup, they said it's like asking how many grains of rice you ate for breakfast, a question that's hard to ask and hard to answer. And when I asked about how much the tip of the nose sags over 5 years compared with 1 year after surgery (whether it's almost no change from the 1-year mark), they said that if you stand a pen upright on a desk, doesn't it fall over again, and even new jeans are tight at first but can loosen over time; everything changes, and if you want things not to change over time, it's better not to have surgery and leave it natural. When I asked whether donor rib cartilage sags more easily than septal cartilage, they said that's not the case. When I asked whether it causes inflammation more easily, they said there are no statistics and that they have never had anyone get inflammation from donor rib cartilage because it was expensive. And when I asked whether donor rib cartilage is easily absorbed, they said it doesn't get absorbed and stays there, but its shape changes, so there are hospitals that casually say it's absorbed. When I asked whether the nasal tip can feel hard or pulling even when I'm just sitting still, they said it can happen or it may not. They said if something is put in, that can happen. After that I asked about the surgery cost, and they told me I should think a lot more about surgery, so I asked, "Then how much is it?" It was 4.4 million won, but they said the surgery fee isn't what's important and that the director should also think a lot more about whether to do the surgery. LOL. After that. At home I asked them to call and ask the director some questions by phone. Then they said that because my nose isn't even that crooked, pursuing something excessively straight would mean I probably wouldn't be satisfied even if I had surgery, and that they can't say exactly how many percent improvement there would be. They said they can't make it perfectly ruler-straight and symmetrical, and that I worry and agonize too much about crooked noses. So I said that other hospitals had mostly not recommended surgery either, and that I had planned to ask here and, if they said no, then I would simply not do crooked-nose surgery and have another operation instead. But the director apparently was reluctant to operate. I don't know what kind of case this is. A patient can ask what they want improved, so how can they refuse surgery? Seriously... I felt like they refused because they were annoyed that I asked too many questions, so that bothered me a bit. Anyway, I already strongly got the feeling at the first consultation that I didn't want to do it here, so there wasn't much to regret, but this hospital does not sweet-talk patients just to get them to have surgery, and because they answer questions very honestly, I went back for a follow-up consultation. As for the cost, based on the 2020 consultation, they changed their story and said donor rib cartilage would need to be added as a material, and the price was 7.15 million won. When I asked by phone how much it would be if I added autologous rib cartilage, they said 7.5 million plus 10% VAT for a total of 8.25 million won, and I remember asking whether it could be done with local anesthesia instead of general anesthesia, and they said yes, and that doing so would reduce the cost by about 1 million won. After the follow-up consultation, after being told in 2020 that they would operate on me, this was in 2024. At the follow-up consultation they refused surgery, but at the third consultation in March 2020 they said they would do it and even gave me an estimate. So I called the hospital because I was curious whether the price had changed, but the manager said they could only answer if I came in for a consultation. When I asked when a consultation could be scheduled, they said July X at X o'clock was available. So when I said to book that time, they answered in a small voice, "Yes," then asked my name, and after I told them my name, they said in a small voice, "At that time the director said they wouldn't operate..." LOL. I was like, what are you talking about, and said I don't remember, and they said, "You don't remember?" in a medium-volume voice, and when I answered yes, they said, "You came for consultation several times, right?" It felt like they were questioning me as if coming for several consultations was a crime, lol. So I said, "I think I came several times for consultations," and they replied, "Right? Your name also sounds familiar... I'll check the chart." So I asked, "What chart?" and they said, "The consultation chart." When I said yes, the manager also said yes? lol. I just don't understand this. I don't understand how they remember that the director said they wouldn't operate, but can't remember that they said they would do it. And if they later said they would do it, shouldn't the earlier refusal be automatically canceled? Am I thinking about this wrong? And I don't even know whether the consultation was actually scheduled or not (in the end, no one contacted me by that day). Probably not, but it's absurd to be treated like I'm on a blacklist while they know the facts inaccurately. I only came about three times for consultations and about three times following an acquaintance who had surgery here. Is that my fault? And they said they would set a consultation date, but whether they said they would or wouldn't do the surgery, I don't know why that's any of their business. A regular staff member should just book it if asked; I don't understand why they have so much to say. Whether the surgery happens or not is something the director says, after all, lol. More precisely, I think whether it happens or not is something I decide.
