If you want a natural double eyelid, Kim Do-hoon is absolutely the director for you. I personally received a surgery that was natural yet extremely satisfying and with definite results. I had endlessly deliberated over whether to create a double eyelid and get pretty eyes, or keep the charm of my original monolid eyes. In the end, I got both. There wasn't much waiting until the surgery. On the day itself, they redid the line, checked it once more, waited a little, and then I went straight into surgery. They put me under sedation anesthesia, then briefly woke me up for local anesthesia, had me open my eyes as instructed, and the surgery was over. Afterward I was so dizzy and sleepy that I was dozing in the recovery room, but as the next surgery patients came pouring in, I got kicked out. The staff weren't very kind. Maybe because I only had buried sutures and eyelid muscle correction, or maybe because the director is skilled, but compared with my friends who had other double-eyelid surgeries, my swelling was noticeably minimal. It went down quickly. No one knows I had double-eyelid surgery. Seriously, no one knows. I even forget sometimes. But my eyes definitely got bigger, and they no longer look cramped in photos. However, around the six-month mark, it felt like the eyelid muscle correction loosened or something, and instead of the perfectly pretty eyes I had right after the swelling went down, the eye shape from when I had monolids started to come back a bit. It feels like the upper eyelid covers the eyes in a cramped way...? It doesn't feel like the double eyelid is disappearing, but my upper eyelid sagged a bit more than before, so the double eyelid became a very narrow inner fold. Still, it's much prettier than before. I don't know whether I can get the eyelid muscle correction done again, but if I do it again, I think the space between my brows and eyes would get too narrow, so I'm thinking maybe an forehead lift or brow lift. Director Kim Do-hoon is the best.
