I went in for a consultation because I only wanted surgery focused on using no implant, alar reduction, tip work, and the columella, and the doctor gave me a really realistic consultation. He clearly said what could not be done, and in between he even used Photoshop to explain why alar reduction should not be done in my case, so I understood it well. (At another hospital they said, “Let’s do alar reduction too~,” so I thought it would be fine, but after hearing the doctor’s explanation I realized it would actually be a case where doing it would ruin everything.) Neither the doctor nor the consultation manager pushed surgery at all. The doctor said there was a slight nostril asymmetry and recommended doing only one side, but that was definitely a recommendation, not pressure, and he said the effect would probably be minimal. He only said what was necessary and was very honest.. But the doctor recommended Megaderm as the surgical material, so since I want autologous cartilage, I don’t think I’ll have surgery here.. And the consultation fee was 10,000 won, which was disappointing because the consultation was short, but I still recommend that anyone going around for nose surgery consultations should get at least one consultation here. They really do speak honestly. A hospital that says everything is possible is much worse than a doctor who tells you the truth.
