I had an epicanthoplasty natural adhesion surgery 6 years ago, and the doctor who did the surgery moved to another clinic. It was really the worst. The scar from the epicanthoplasty was left in a seriously hook-like shape, and my double eyelid is basically not visible at all. It’s an inner double eyelid. Right after the surgery, from about a month in, it was so thin that I already thought I’d need revision surgery. I had surgery when I was very young in my student days, and I was tricked by brokers after looking at an app and ended up going there. I remember waiting 3 hours for a consultation and only getting 5 minutes of talking? There are still a few things I remember. During the surgery I woke up in the middle; I’m not sure if it was the doctor or a staff member, but a male voice kept saying 'damn it, damn it,' which was insanely irritating. After the surgery, they told me to apply ice packs while waiting in the chair, but no one came to check on me no matter how much I iced it, so when I pressed the call button, some assistant or coordinator came over grumbling and sulking too, with a huge sigh. Why the hell should I be treated like this when I paid my own money for surgery? Just writing this makes me angry again after so long. The time for suture removal happened to overlap with the Lunar New Year holiday, and the person removing the stitches mentioned that the epicanthoplasty scar was severe. But I don't know if this hospital normally doesn't do follow-up checks later or if they just forgot to schedule me, because after the stitch removal they never told me to come back to the clinic. I was so young then that I thought once you get double eyelid surgery and remove the stitches, you never go back to the hospital? But usually doesn't the doctor check the line and follow up? The staff were all bad. Oh, and I never even saw the person said to be the main coordinator that day. After this, I learned through other surgeries that it was really a factory-style clinic, and after you pay, it's like 'I don't know, deal with it yourself.' Of course this review is from 6 years ago, so things may be different now.
