The manager gave a more authoritative feeling than the director. Their loyalty is impressive, and if something you say is even slightly irritating, their attitude changes completely. That whole atmosphere is a bit scary, I guess. I had heard about it and roughly knew, but I gave up because I thought even if there were any complaints later, it would be really hard to deal with.
