They let me choose between two surgical methods: 1. costal cartilage use, 2. non-open silicone ear cartilage. I had no intention of using costal cartilage at all, so I said I wanted option 2, but they said that if it’s done non-open, they can’t lower the columella. The way they do things felt so unfamiliar that I passed. I never even imagined they would do it non-open. And the consultation wasn’t very detailed either.
