It’s been about a year since my nose surgery. At first, I worried a lot about whether it would stay stable without revision surgery, but now that a year has passed without any major problems, I feel a bit relieved. I had surgery at Zesta with silicone and ear cartilage by Director Hyeokgyu Choi. My slightly protruding mouth was stressful, and my nose was also on the longer side, so those two things were my biggest concerns. I told the director I wanted it to look natural, not too sharp, and a straight-but-slightly-raised line, and I brought a photo of Go Youn-jung for reference. Right now, compared to the early period after surgery, I don’t think there’s been much change besides the swelling going down. The tip of my nose has also kept its shape well so far. I’ve seen quite a few cases around me where the line became uneven or the shape changed within a year and they needed revision surgery, but thankfully I haven’t had any of those changes yet. At first I worried whether it would settle properly, but now I feel like I can just keep living with it like this. If you’re considering nose surgery, I think it’s important to choose a hospital that also considers long-term stability from the start so you can reduce the chance of needing revision surgery.
