On my first surgery I met a psychopathic doctor, my nasal hump was ground down badly, silicone was inserted without my consent, everything showed through, and my columella necrosed, so I lived a miserable life, and after a year I had surgery at Whi Plastic Surgery to remove the silicone. Before surgery, they were confident that it could be made similar to my original nose shape, so I trusted them and went ahead. Result: there was a step-off where the silicone was removed, and because the crooked nasal cartilage was not corrected immediately, my nose became crooked. The necrotic part of the columella was cut out, but whether due to the suturing or not, the columella became crooked and developed a step-off. Course: they told me to watch my nose until the swelling fully went down over a year. After a year, when I went back, they said to watch it for another six months. I got a bad feeling that they didn’t want to take responsibility. When I asked what could be done after watching it further, they said to put silicone back in. When I asked what about the bent nasal cartilage, they said to try fat grafting for the area where the bend and step-off were. (Fat grafting is usually a secondary procedure, and I knew from experience that survival of the graft is a major issue, so I thought, “Fat grafting?”) They said my nasal cartilage was too thin, so it would be better not to touch it any more (Huh? So am I supposed to live with this crooked, uneven nose?) After consulting several other hospitals, I finally had surgery again yesterday at a hospital that carefully analyzed my nose. When I told them about what had happened at Whi Plastic Surgery, the surgeon said they seemed not to know how to take corrective action, and that they gave the impression they didn’t want to take responsibility, which matched exactly how I felt. The doctor who operated at the other hospital was puzzled about why the folded nasal cartilage had not been unfolded. They also said the columella had a severe step-off. In other words, the surgery at Whi Plastic Surgery was just a surgery to remove the silicone and not touch the shape at all. In conclusion, my experience with Whi Plastic Surgery was that the doctor was all talk and had no skill. If you are going to have nose surgery, please make sure to go to a hospital with nasal CT and an experienced surgeon. If you go without knowing that, you’ll end up needing another surgery like I did ㅠㅠ
