I went to 11 clinics including the one where I had my first surgery, and I put down a deposit here. Since this is a revision surgery, I have a lot of worries, and I just hope it will be my last surgery. [Doctor Consultation] What felt different from other clinics was that they gave alternatives for what the patient wants to achieve with the current nose. They explained the essentials and the extras (mostly related to aesthetics), and told me about the side effects that could occur accordingly. And for the parts I was worried about, they explained why those problems happen and how to prevent them from happening. At other plastic surgery clinics, when I asked about the things that worried me because I felt anxious, they would either talk about it too casually, or say that if I was going to worry about that much, I shouldn’t get plastic surgery, or that I shouldn’t put in an implant. But here, they really try their best to find solutions together with you. Their tone isn’t especially warm, but if you ask for things and ask questions, they answer in detail and for a long time, so at the very least it feels like they are a doctor with a sense of responsibility. Some clinics have the staff member showing the patient photos during consultation, right? Here they don’t do that, and the doctor comes directly to my seat to examine the nose with his own hands.. (At other clinics, the patient usually has to sit next to the doctor...). The downside for revision surgery is that they don’t do CT scans here.. I had already had a lot of CTs done at other clinics, so I consulted based on the results I heard there. This is one of the few clinics where they actually touch the inside of the nose with their hands instead of just using a cotton swab (only 2 of the clinics I consulted with actually touched inside the nose with their hands, haha..) I kept thinking about it, so I had a second consultation and decided on surgery. [Consultation Staff] Here, the consultation staff only handles scheduling dates and explaining the price. There’s no advice like what aesthetic points should be improved.. If you don’t already have your own aesthetic 기준 for what you want, I think you’d end up feeling a bit lost if you got surgery at this clinic. And even if you book a consultation, it’s basically always delayed by at least 30 minutes, and the staff doesn’t really tell you about that while you wait. They just feel like the front-desk staff at a neighborhood clinic. [Surgery Expectations] For me, stability > beauty, so in the end I chose this place. Honestly, the before-and-after photos here aren’t flashy or especially pretty, but to me they looked natural, like quietly pretty. During the consultation, I also saw quite a few revision surgery photos besides the ones on the director’s blog, so in my own judgment I chose it because I thought it would give me a decent shape. I didn’t expect to become dramatically prettier, but I did choose it because I thought the parts I wanted to improve would definitely get better, and the surgery would be done in a stable, standard way. In my case, it had been 7 years since my surgery, and I’m actually a very dull person, so after the swelling went down from the first surgery, by 3 months I could already see the boundary between the silicone and the nasal tip looking indented on the bridge of my nose.. I just lived thinking, well, this is what looks natural, and for someone interested in plastic surgery, I’m pretty indifferent.. But over time it got a bit worse, and I judged that the COVID period was the right time for revision surgery, so I went ahead. Because of that, I think nose surgery ultimately has to be done with a long-term view and with the assumption that revision may be needed later. So honestly, I decided that if I’m going to do it, it’s probably right to have revision surgery here, where they use a standard approach, even with the thought that I might one day want removal when I’m much older. If I get the surgery, I’ll edit this review and leave an update.
