I came in for a consultation about nose surgery, and when I asked if I could see in advance what my nose would look like after surgery with some kind of photo, the doctor raised his voice and said, “Does the doctor really have to do even that?” In the end he took a photo, edited it in Photoshop, and showed me, but the Photoshop work was so careless that the photo was warped, and he said it would look like that, so I didn’t trust it. And when I asked for an explanation of the specific surgical technique, he explained it in a way I couldn’t understand, and when I asked again, he got irritated and said, “Didn’t I already tell you?” which was very awkward. I speak softly and calmly, and I didn’t make unreasonable demands or speak aggressively, but he kept getting angry, so I couldn’t understand it. He also suggested a method that several other hospitals had not recommended, and the surgery cost was quoted in the 6 million won range (it was my first surgery, and I visited several hospitals that said they were expensive, but most were in the 3 to 4 million won range), so I didn’t feel like I could trust them and didn’t go back. The facility looked spacious and comfortable. It seems like a hospital that makes a lot of money.
