At the beginning of May last year, I went to get a consultation for eye correction from Dr. G.S.M. (now at another hospital), and he actively recommended other surgeries too, so I ended up getting outer canthoplasty, upper inner canthoplasty, under-eye fat repositioning, and incision-based eye correction all together. I did emphasize that I wanted it as natural as possible because I was worried about it looking too much with so many procedures at once, but it ended up being too subtle and I didn’t like it. Up to here, okay. Then the first problem came up. I had the procedure done for about 3.2 or 3.4 million won on the condition that I wrote photo reviews on the G.N.A / B.B.T app, and the condition was that I had to write reviews five times to get back the 500,000 won prepayment. The problem was that the review process worked by sending photos, and they would edit them and send them back for me to post. I thought maybe they would just do simple skin retouching, but they actually increased the eye size and changed the shape altogether. Of course they never told me this in advance, and in my case I was already very stressed because I didn’t like the result, but being told to upload fake enlarged-eye photos was ridiculous, and I thought that would mean I was participating in scamming people. When I complained, they apologized and resent them without changing the size. That part was okay too. The second problem was that when I went for a revision consultation because I wasn’t happy with the first surgery, they told me that since the first surgeon had moved to another hospital, I had to get the consultation from someone else. I chose a doctor who had a lot of reviews and seemed skilled, but I was told I couldn’t see that doctor and could only get aftercare from the designated doctor. The designated doctor (G.S.S.) had almost no reviews or testimonials. I was baffled and annoyed, but I went ahead and at least had the consultation. During the consultation, I said my concerns were that the eye correction was too weak and the inner corner opening was too small, but because I’m male, I fundamentally wanted a natural monolid or a slightly visible hidden double eyelid that wasn’t too much. The doctor said the inner corner opening was almost like it hadn’t been done at all and said it needed to be opened as much as possible, and wanted to make the double eyelid line higher too. When I said it might become too heavy-looking and what if it looks crowded, he said it absolutely wouldn’t look burdensome. I went to many other hospitals for revision surgery too, but Dr. G.S.S. was so kind, comfortable, and spoke with such confidence that I was drawn in. More than anything, I thought this person was providing aftercare in place of a doctor who had left, so they probably wouldn’t charge much, and I decided to trust him. To cut to the conclusion, I want to say it was the worst decision of my life. The double eyelid became a sausage line and the inner corner opening was also overdone, so I’m looking into restoration now. I’ve been suffering from depression and social phobia for 7 months.. For the record, this doctor is very human and a really nice person. It’s just that, apart from that, the surgery was a complete disaster... And the two absurd system issues I mentioned above deserved criticism, which is why I gave a low rating, but honestly the hospital facilities and staff kindness were good. But the most important thing is that they can’t do the surgery well.. ㅂㄹㅇ.. the worst decision of my life..
