I was looking into revision rhinoplasty, and after seeing reviews here, I thought revision surgery might also be possible through a closed approach. The reviews looked so beautiful that I went for a consultation. What bothered me most was that the tip of my nose had drooped over time after my first surgery, which led me to consider revision surgery. Since it would be a revision, I had quite a few concerns about whether a closed approach would really be appropriate. During the consultation, they first checked the condition of my nose based on a CT scan, then explained in detail why a closed approach was possible and what could be improved in my current condition. They also showed me roughly how my nose might change through a virtual simulation. It would not be exactly the same as the actual result, of course, but it was useful for checking whether it matched the direction I had imagined. They did not make it feel as though everything was possible; they honestly separated what could and could not be done, which I also appreciated. Since this is revision surgery, I am still a little afraid to decide right away, but many of the things I was curious about regarding how closed revision surgery is performed were clarified, and overall I was more satisfied with the consultation than I expected.
