I was going crazy from my nasal congestion, so I went around to different hospitals and, after seeing reviews saying they’re good at functional nose surgery, I went all the way to Seoul and got surgery at GNG Hospital. I asked for a specific director and went for a consultation. Maybe because I had booked in advance? There were quite a lot of people, but I got in quickly without much waiting, and because I asked so many questions, the consultation itself took a while. I asked a ton of questions, lol. The manager consultation was kind, and I felt like I had chosen the right hospital to come all the way to Seoul for, so I met the director with high expectations. I told him I wanted functional improvement first, but also wanted the shape to be raised a lot, and he drew on the screen while explaining that if it were raised that much, my eyes might look too close together, and that this amount would be just right and pretty. He seemed a bit conservative?? Anyway, I already had another consultation booked at a different hospital, and I wanted my nose to be a bit more glamorous and higher anyway (and since I had come all the way to Seoul, I couldn’t just look at one place lol), so I didn’t decide right away and left. There was no pressure to book that day, and they told me to go look at other places and contact them. I’ll leave the other hospital talk in separate consultation reviews, but I went to three more places and in the end decided to get surgery at GNG... It hasn’t been long since the surgery, so I’m still recovering and it’s hard to tell, so I gave 4 stars for expectations. It seems like it went well!! The hospital is big and I liked that they take good care of you afterward. I really hope I rest hard during this holiday, the swelling goes down fast, the shape settles, and my nose opens up... This is my first nose surgery, and having gauze packed in my nose is way more uncomfortable than I imagined lol. But I guess I have to endure it I hope recovery comes quickly. The surgery was done without an implant, and the functional side was rhinitis + deviated septum. They asked me about insurance reimbursement before I even brought it up, and handled all the paperwork. Any other post-op notes? Anyway, I think the surgery went well and I got a good overall impression, so I’m leaving a positive review!!
