Please read this before going for a consultation here. I am writing down everything that happened that day. First of all, compared with how famous it is, the hospital facilities are very old. But well, that just means it has been around for a long time, so in a way that increases trust. But there also aren't many staff. One person at the desk, one consultation manager, and the director. After waiting for an hour;; I finally went into the consultation room. But even while talking with the consultation manager, the phone kept ringing, so the consultation kept getting interrupted. If that's going to happen, they should hire at least one more person.. Anyway, the consultation manager kept apologizing and explaining. She explained the surgery method for a very long time and in great detail. However, Dissatisfaction 1) Here there is a structured type and a regular type for nostril reduction, but the explanation was basically that people who choose the regular type do so because they don't have money, and that the structured type is definitely prettier. She even said that students without money choose the regular type. Dissatisfaction 2) Patients were divided by occupation. Here they do not use ear cartilage and instead use an acellular dermal matrix. The acellular dermal matrix is a better material. For example, this person here has a husband who is another plastic surgeon, and she chose acellular dermal matrix (the patients' names were covered with paper, which was good) and explained it like that. But then suddenly she said, 'This one is a prosecutor and had acellular dermal matrix~' and I was like, huh? Why bring up prosecutors? lol Dissatisfaction 3) The doctor's friendliness. I went in knowing he wasn't the friendly type, but I didn't expect it to be at the level of a personal attack. He seemed to come right out of the operating room and straight to me. He was very tired and annoyed. I had already been waiting at the hospital for a long time, but he was the one who missed his appointment time, and when I asked about the surgery method, he said he didn't have time to explain. (Then why not come in earlier...) Anyway, the doctor's consultation time was short. As you can see if you read my other consultation reviews, waiting an hour at a plastic surgery clinic is more common than you might think because of surgery delays, etc. But this is the first place I've seen where consultation time is cut that much and the doctor shows the patient how tired he is. Dissatisfaction 4) He referred to the mom who came with me as a "cash cow". I am a college student and went in with my mom. As soon as we sat down, he asked who was paying for the surgery, and when I said my mom, he said, "You landed a great cash cow." I felt something was off from that point. My mom also smiled awkwardly... Dissatisfaction 5) Declared I would need a revision before I even had surgery. He said that since there was a cash cow, I could do everything I wanted, and he told me all the things he could do. But if I actually chose only a few of those, he said that even if I had a revision later, I would not know and would be dissatisfied with the nose shape. Because the columella under the nose feels like it is cut off sharply, columella grafting would be the second priority, but this is a difficult surgery and the support may be weak, so I might need a revision later. But he said he would not take responsibility. The way he said it here was not like the usual preoperative disclosure of side effects at other hospitals, but more like, don't come at me even if it fails. Dissatisfaction 6) Personal attacks on the patient's face Also, I am a college student preparing for work in broadcasting. But suddenly the doctor kept turning my face this way and that and said, 'Even if you reduce the nostrils, your face won't work on camera anyway~'...;? Well, I'm not Kim Tae-hee level, so of course I wasn't upset just because of that. So I said, 'Oh~ then what else would be good to do?' Then he said, 'The consultation time is over now. I'm busy right now, so ask next time.' lol no 1. It was not me but the doctor who came late to the consultation. In fact, I only spent a few minutes there. 'Because I'm busy...' he says. 2. If you're not going to tell me how to fix it, why insult the patient's face? What am I supposed to do with that.. It was so absurd and made me angry. For the record, he also had paid ads, and my face is not to the point where I'm preparing for broadcasting; After the consultation ended and I told the manager how upset I was, she apologized on his behalf. No, manager, you did nothing wrong... it was the doctor. The manager here is kind, of course they pressure you toward the structured type, but their manner of speaking is kind. The surgery estimates were: Structured nostril reduction: 3.6 million won / regular type: 2.4 million won - The difference between the two is whether they insert thread into the nostrils to spread them out or not. A technique unique to this place that I have never heard of anywhere else. Columella graft with acellular dermal matrix: 1.9 million Alar retraction with acellular dermal matrix: 1.9 million I was planning to have surgery here since they usually don't do sedation, but I was already so offended by the consultation that I probably won't do it here. I think the surgery itself would probably be good since this place only does nostril reduction.
