I had alar reduction 3 years ago. The scar is barely visible. It seems to have worked, but not dramatically. I've been going around recently getting consultations for nose surgery, and they said that to make the nose slimmer, they also have to cut the thickness of the inside of the nose.. When I had surgery, that doctor was extremely unfriendly, and while explaining things to someone next to him, I remember him just scraping around inside my nose and stitching it up. It was like he didn't care at all, as if I were under sedation. It looked professional, so I paid a lot of money for the alar reduction, but the effect was just so-so, so I'm dissatisfied.
