I made a consultation appointment by phone and went. There was no separate consultation fee when booking by phone. The clinic facilities looked bigger and cleaner than I expected. Unlike other clinics, there was no manager consultation before seeing the director. At the front desk, they did an initial consultation while I filled out my chart. Then I went straight to the director, and I entered after putting on a headband. They kept asking me to put my phone on silent until just before I entered the director's office. It felt like the staff were extremely wary of the director. The staff members generally seemed young. The director was aloof. Not kind. He gave only brief answers while looking at my chart and at what I had written there about the eye surgery I wanted. He asked if I had any questions and answered only the questions I asked. He did not explain the surgery method in detail and only answered whether it would be two-line or incision, saying the doctor would take care of everything else. On one hand that seemed arrogant and confident, but I also wondered if he was just tsundere, and at the same time I felt slightly brushed off, so my satisfaction with the doctor consultation was low. It was the shortest consultation time. The consulting manager was also kind, but seemed to answer only in a fixed, scripted way.
