I had an incision method done, and it loosened after just 3 months. I got buried sutures as an AS, and then it slowly loosened again starting about a year later. After the incision, I wanted to switch to buried sutures because of the scar, but the doctor looked at my past history as soon as I went in and said, "You know now there’s only incision left, right?" so I couldn’t even bring it up. The consultation was detailed, but to put it simply, the vibe was like a very strict cram-school teacher. It felt like I’d get scolded if I said I wanted to do it a certain way, so I’m worried communication with the doctor will be difficult.
