I had cheekbone reduction 6 years ago and barely saw any effect. I recommend this surgery only for people with a narrow facial skeleton, little facial fat, and cheekbones that stick out on their own. I regretted having contouring surgery and lived with it.. because I only suffered and even I couldn't really tell whether it worked. The feeling like my teeth were about to fall out, which was one of the side effects, never got resolved, and then after the pins were removed that symptom disappeared. I was really glad I had the pins removed. However, the young director who operated on me 6 years ago moved elsewhere, so I had another director remove the pins, and that director was extremely reluctant to consult.. he seemed to really hate questions and looked like he wanted to run away. The staff are moderately kind.
