I had surgery in 2015. I'm satisfied with the result and doing well, and the doctor is a bit blunt. They only say exactly what's necessary and are not the type to proactively tell patients what they might want to know, such as the surgery method, so prepare your questions well. Then you can have a really solid consultation. The consultation manager didn't force me to make an appointment, and they were very confident about capsular contracture and their own surgical method (I didn't take the capsular contracture medicine). In particular, although the website at the time emphasized 24-hour recovery, it seems like only moms with babies could manage that. I was bedridden for a week. I was in so much pain (this varies by person) There was CCTV in the operating room, so if a guardian accompanied me, they could watch the surgery live on something like a tablet outside. The aftercare was good, and they explained the AS-related details too, though I don't remember them. I think I also got periodic checkups up to years 1, 3, and 5 (I think they checked the implant by ultrasound).
