I had double-eyelid surgery and medial canthoplasty together, and I am very satisfied overall. Before surgery, I was worried that it might look too obvious or change my eye shape dramatically, but I like how it turned out with the natural look I wanted. In particular, I told the doctor what style I wanted during the consultation, and the doctor’s preferred direction matched the feeling I wanted, so I began to trust the doctor from the consultation stage. I liked that the doctor was very thorough during the consultation. Rather than simply doing exactly what I asked for, the doctor explained everything one by one, including my eye shape, differences between the two sides, and how much medial canthoplasty would look natural, which helped me understand the expected result in advance. I asked many questions, and the doctor explained them in detail without seeming bothered, which I appreciated. I was a little worried at first because of the swelling after surgery, but as it went down, I could see the crease settling more naturally and felt reassured. Perhaps because it was a suture method, the crease does not look excessively thick or unnatural when my eyes are open, and the medial canthoplasty did not feel excessive either; my eyes simply look a little more defined, exactly as I wanted. People around me have also said that my eyes look naturally prettier, which made me even more satisfied. The result is still settling completely, but so far I like it, and I especially appreciated that the doctor explained things so well and greatly reduced my anxiety before surgery.
