I got it right after becoming a college student about 10 years ago. Thankfully, I haven’t had any major problems until now, though on days when I’m very swollen, my eyes sometimes look slightly relaxed, or there’s a tiny bit of scar tissue along the incision line. My eye surgery wasn’t dramatic, but it turned out well enough that a distant relative I hadn’t seen in a long time asked me for the hospital info and the doctor’s name.
