I had surgery for my mom, and she said, "I'm old now, why have surgery? I'll just live like this.." Then her aunt's aunt had surgery and suddenly she said maybe she should at least go for a consultation.. so she just had same-day surgery at the same hospital her aunt's aunt used. After surgery, she had to get treatment for several days and it was really hard. I truly regretted not just doing it somewhere in Busan nearby. She stayed in a hotel in Seoul for a week.. and I had to take care of everything, so it was exhausting Anyway, the doctor gave a really thorough consultation, and on the day of surgery the counseling staff didn't look down on her just because she came from the countryside, but took extra good care of her, which put me at ease. My mom keeps telling everyone she was glad she had the surgery.. Face lifting should really be researched carefully, but I was worried because she just went ahead after seeing her aunt's aunt do well, yet now my mom seems extremely satisfied If I think of it as having done a lifelong filial duty in advance, I feel better.
