I lived my whole life with no double eyelids and got double-eyelid surgery. I wanted canthoplasty and a low semi-out line. But they said canthoplasty wasn't absolutely necessary, and there was no excessive recommendation. Since my features are quite defined, they recommended a slightly higher, deeper line would suit me better, so I went with that. Instead, I asked them to make it not awkward and as natural or as pretty as possible. The swelling hasn't fully gone down yet, but I think the moderately high line suits me much better and looks prettier. It still feels a bit awkward, but I think it will improve once the swelling goes down.
