I liked Dr. Ryu’s aesthetic more for the surgery review, so I consulted with Dr. Ryu. He emphasized that even a high nose can still look natural, and that the nasolabial angle between the forehead and the tip of the nose is important, which was exactly the explanation I wanted, so I liked it. He also explained well why osteotomy and alar reduction weren’t necessary, saying he doesn’t recommend unnecessary surgery. I brought a photo of a nose I dislike, and he also explained in detail how that could be avoided, which was great. However, because the staff atmosphere felt chaotic, the doctor didn’t seem to be a specialist in autologous costal cartilage, they use sedation instead of a specialist in anesthesiology plus general anesthesia, and aftercare seemed a bit lacking, I ultimately had it done somewhere else.
