Uh... somehow, in terms of the consultation, everything gets a perfect score... Uh... this is not an ad or promotion.... this is a truly real review I live in Goyang, but I went all the way to Anyang. One way took 1 hour and 30 minutes... The hospitals I had visited before said: - The septum is not sufficient, so ear cartilage, and maybe donated rib cartilage or autologous rib cartilage, would be needed. - The septum is sufficient, so even ear cartilage isn't needed. I have a deviated septum, inferior turbinate hypertrophy, and rhinitis, so functional nose surgery is possible. - This nose cannot be diagnosed as a functional nose. The septum size is not bad, but if it is too weak or bent when actually opened, functional rib cartilage may be needed. Ear cartilage is always used together. (The manager at this hospital said CT scans can come out differently depending on condition.) So... I kept wondering what condition the material I have is in?^^;;;; Total chaos.... So I also booked consultations at three more places. A mix of hospitals that do functional nose surgery and ones that only do cosmetic surgery! On the day I visited Romi, I had a schedule to tour three hospitals in one day from the morning, and the first one was Dr. Romi. [Response when making the appointment inquiry] I left my contact information on the website in advance and requested a consultation, and the hospital called me. From that point on, I felt they were extremely kind! Oh, and my first appointment was originally at 12:00, but the day before, or maybe two days before? they called to ask if it would be okay to move it to 12:30 because of a surgery schedule before mine, and when I said that this was a day I was touring for consultations, they checked what time I would need to leave the hospital and so on~ [Arrival at the hospital] The first thing I thought after arriving was that, for a private clinic, it was bigger than I expected~ I was at the front desk for about 5 minutes! I arrived on time, had a CT scan, was assigned the manager in charge, and then had the consultation in the consultation room~ [First consultation with the manager] Like at the other hospitals, they carefully checked my history of fillers, thread lifts, Botox, and other procedures... The manager asked what my biggest concern was. Not what I had learned while visiting hospitals, but what had originally been the thing I personally worried about the most! When I told them the consultation details I had received from the previous hospitals, they explained that CT images changing from time to time made no sense. They also seemed to understand why I was seeking functional nose surgery~ whether it was because I was really uncomfortable or because of insurance reimbursement, haha. After finishing the first consultation with the manager, I waited a bit and then went in to consult with the doctor~ I liked that the wait was much shorter than at the other hospitals! [Consultation with the doctor] I felt that the time and effort I spent traveling a long way were not wasted at all! A little touched The doctor was incredibly kind and explained everything in great detail. Using actual silicone external nose models and internal nose models, the doctor explained in an easy-to-understand way why my nose is in its current condition. (I had sort of known from going through the other hospitals and studying every day through YouTube, but it was still really nice that they explained it so thoroughly.) Dr. Romi is famous for showing 3D virtual plastic surgery simulations, and they showed me using a 3D program provided by a custom silicone implant company! But unless it’s truly necessary, they don’t force you to use a custom implant Custom implants definitely have advantages, but since my bridge is relatively average, they honestly said this was not a case where a custom implant was absolutely required (that’s a very important point...) They said my nose could be done with no implant for the bridge + tip surgery only, and that if the bridge were raised, only about 2.5 mm at most would likely be possible. Actually, my forehead bone structure is flat to begin with^^;; so I never wanted a high, flashy nose anyway. But I was curious what choice would be best if I wanted to get closer to the style of nose I like, and the doctor asked me whether the front view or the side view was more important to me. I said the front view seems just a little more important... um.. would you look at the photos I brought? I said maybe if you see which choice is closer to my taste, you might know? I opened the PPT on the iPad I brought and showed the nose shapes I thought were pretty (various front and side views)! After looking at them, the doctor said the photos consistently showed a slightly raised bridge from the front, and if that was my taste, adding an implant would likely give me higher satisfaction Among the hospitals I visited, there were not many where I could meet with the doctor long enough for a proper consultation, but Dr. Romi was one of the places where that was possible! [Second consultation with the manager] After the doctor’s consultation, I had another one-on-one conversation with the manager At that point, the manager praised me!! Said I had prepared in such an exemplary way I had organized my preferred side and front views, the common features of the styles I wanted, and noses I thought were too much, and brought all that with me~ My MBTI is totally J, and I majored in design... So I know very well that in aesthetics, communicating through visual language is important^^; And through YouTube I had learned that the most common reason for rhinoplasty revision is dissatisfaction with the shape, so I think I gathered photos even more diligently Plastic surgery isn’t done for simple treatment; it’s done to resolve aesthetic dissatisfaction~ I thought communicating only through side views was meaningless. If you communicate only that way, there’s a high chance you’ll later feel that the front view didn’t improve. People live showing their front view to themselves and to others more often than their side view, right? Be sure to collect front-view photos you really like, and also photos that say, “This is too much!” or “I don’t like this!”~~ [After the consultation ended] If you write a review on Naver Place, the CT fee goes from 30,000 won to 10,000 won, and there is a separate consultation fee of 10,000 won. There was absolutely no pressure to make a same-day reservation, so I could leave comfortably~ That same day, I went to two more places after Romi, and the next day I had a follow-up consultation scheduled at a clinic I had visited before, and there are two more scheduled for next week... I wanted to get surgery on a fast schedule, so I was thinking I would tour three places that day, and if I found one I liked, I’d check their schedule and make a reservation. Fortunately, Dr. Romi had an available surgery slot for the schedule I wanted, and the consultation was trustworthy, so I decided right away the next day! My surgery is this Saturday, and I really want to become pretty quickly...!!
