There was a consultation fee. I told them the line I wanted, but the doctor said it didn't suit my eyes and recommended a different line. It was honest of them to say that, but I didn't really feel the consultation was trustworthy. It might just be because it wasn't the consultation I wanted, so please go and consult for yourself.
