I had double eyelid surgery with buried stitches years ago, but one side loosened, so I decided to get revision surgery. Revision surgery is usually more than double the price, but here it was 1.2 million won in cash even for revision, which made it good value, and that part satisfied me. It was 1.2 million won for incision surgery, and this doctor seems to recommend incision for most patients. In fact, he reportedly performs incision on nine out of ten cases... However, if a patient strongly insists on buried stitches, he seems to accommodate that preference. Even so, the reason I chose incision was because I felt the doctor’s argument made a lot of sense. 1. If you do buried stitches, it is not a side effect if the double eyelid comes undone over time. You want to go fast on the highway but not pay the toll. If you choose buried stitches, that is something you inevitably have to accept; with incision, the risk of loosening is clearly lower. 2. With incision, it is possible to design the double eyelid. When I had buried stitches before, the front part of the crease was buried under the eyelid skin and wasn’t visible well, so I wanted that part corrected, but they said that is difficult with buried stitches. With incision, it is easier to create the line you want. It’s been half a year since the surgery, so I don’t remember perfectly, but that was roughly the nuance. I had it done in early to mid-August, so it has been close to half a year, and they say things definitely settle after six months, and now the bigger swelling seems to have almost gone down. They designed the double eyelid to suit me well, so it seems to have come out pretty. I was a little worried because the doctor was an elderly grandfather, but he had so much experience and skill that my worries were honestly laughable... I liked it enough that I’d recommend him to acquaintances.
