The director was kind and there was absolutely no pressure at all to have surgery. I debated because there was something called triple buried suture, which is supposed to be a buried-suture method that doesn't come undone easily, and I decided to go with that. It's been a while since the surgery, and my eyes definitely feel like they open more firmly, which I like. I haven't tried a regular buried-suture method, so I can't compare, though.
