A place that makes you pay 20,000 won because you came for a follow-up consultation, haha.. It was revision surgery, and after the first consultation it seemed okay, so I put down a deposit. But while consulting elsewhere, everyone pointed out other problems that had never been mentioned here, so I came back for a follow-up consultation. Even when I asked for the follow-up, they kept trying not to schedule it, saying things like they can consult and operate on the day of surgery, or that it's okay because they'll set the line right before surgery, but after I kept insisting they finally scheduled it. When I had the follow-up consultation, they first said the same thing as in the initial consultation, then only near the end did they find that problem and mention it briefly. I got uneasy and canceled the reservation after the follow-up consultation, but they said because I had a follow-up consultation, they would refund everything except the "20,000 won follow-up fee" (300,000 won deposit 90% = 270,000 won + 20,000 won follow-up fee. Total refund 250,000 won). I had never been informed in advance about the follow-up fee, and I had never seen that at any other hospital, so it was absurd, but I didn't want to argue more, so I just said okay. Another staff member contacted me and said they would help with the refund, but then called it a "penalty". Even among themselves they kept saying different things, so when I asked again, "A follow-up fee?" they went quiet for a moment and then said anyway they would refund 250,000 won. The overall consultation also seemed very lacking in professionalism. Especially the consultation manager kept saying everything could be done, but the doctor was the one who said many things could not be done, and among the hospitals I visited, the doctor also looked at things the most carelessly. The doctor seems to have skill, but hmm... if it's a typical eye case, maybe it would be okay.
