I went for a consultation about side effects from incision double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction (eye tugging). Outwardly, my left eye looks like it is less firmly fixed than the right. Both sides feel uncomfortable, but the left eye is more uncomfortable. I thought everything needed to be fully released, but they said the left eye was not properly corrected in the muscle that supports the force, which was why it felt uncomfortable, and that I needed additional correction. When they used a toothpick to lift along the double-eyelid line, it felt better. Strangely enough.. They said that if I do it, the right eye will also feel better. So I was leaning toward doing it, but when I said I have lagophthalmos in my left eye and sleep with my eye open, they said if I get more correction, I will be able to sleep with my eyes more open, so I decided to hold off. It felt like they had studied eyes a lot and seemed very professional.
