I came for a consultation to remove illegal injections I had gotten at a non-hospital place four years ago. The foreign material from the glabella area had flowed down to the bridge of the nose, so they suggested removing it together and also recommended a forehead lift, saying that if I did the forehead lift too, the nose tip might look a little lifted, so they also suggested correcting the nose tip. They did an ultrasound to see whether the material injected right above the eyebrows had moved down below the eyes. It hadn’t moved down on either side, but they said since they were removing it anyway, we might as well remove it all. Then they also recommended a brow lift, with an incision along the brow line. The forehead lift and brow lift doctors were different. The doctor’s consultation was professional and I trusted it because they showed photos and explained everything, but during the manager’s consultation, when they were recommending doing the brow lift and forehead lift together, I asked whether, while dissecting for the forehead lift, it wouldn’t be possible to remove the material above the brows too, and why they had to make two separate lifts and leave two incision scars. They didn’t answer clearly, just brushed it off and went out saying they’d ask and come back. On the cost side, removal of the foreign material was 3.3 million won per area, and with the lift included the total estimate came to 14.85 million won (the price because they said each of the glabella, bridge of the nose, and area above the brows were 3.3 million each, and they’d give a discount if I added the forehead lift). There was no same-day booking discount or cash discount, and every time I asked a question that left them speechless, they couldn’t answer clearly and went out and came back three times. After seeing the doctor, my trust was broken once I saw the manager;; I took notes on everything because they seemed accurate and thorough, but they changed the cost figures three or four times and didn’t even remember what they had said, kept writing and erasing on the tablet.. I thought I was going to explode. I asked only for removal of the foreign material, not a lift, and the quote was 11 million.
