My overall eye length was short, so I went in for a consultation about canthoplasty. First of all, the doctor seemed very confident, and when I asked whether I also needed an epicanthoplasty, he firmly explained why I didn't need it for my eyes, which gave me confidence. I've been burned by cosmetic procedures before, so I asked a lot of questions about side effects, and they explained why those issues wouldn't happen, which made it a satisfying consultation. Unless there's a special reason not to, I'm planning to have the surgery.
